The Guy Porter School of Guitar is based in Somerset about 10 minutes from junction 23. With students coming from Taunton, Bridgwater, Street, Glastonbury, Burnham 0n Sea, Watchet and many more locations, The Guy Porter School of Guitar has gained a high reputation of excellence in north somerset.
The guitar school was founded in 2008 with the aim and vision of providing more than just your average guitar tuition.
Consequently, based on the values that learning about music is more than simply sitting in a room with a tutor for an hour every week, the Guy Porter School Of Guitar aims to promote musical development, appreciation, application and enjoyment of the instrument through various ideas and activities that don’t just enhance playing music, but enhance learning, developing skills and understanding. All in the comfort of a professional studio environment.

ABOUT GUY
Guy is the founder of The Guy Porter School of Guitar after spending years honing his experience as a private and group teacher in the Somerset area. Having struggled with the guitar himself when he was young, Guy had found many facets of learning guitar that he was never taught himself. Since then Guy has used these principals to dedicate himself to not just teaching the guitar, but to coaching his students through the entire process that is involved in learning the instrument, making sure that his students are becoming the guitar players that they personally want to be.
Guy has been playing the guitar since he was 14 years old and has over a decade of professional musician experience playing in bands, being hired for session work and of course teaching the guitar. With over 5000 hours of lessons taught and counting, Guy is always looking to improve his teaching approach and making sure that his students are taken care of to the best of his abilities.
